Note to you as a Parent:
Well it’s Spring Break and the kids are at home. I pray that you are not only hanging in there but also loving your extra time with them. This week we are going to meet King David before he was crowned, before his life changing battle with Goliath, and even before Samuel anointed him. We are going to look at the everyday things that made David the Hero that he became. Chances are he didn’t wake up one morning and decide that he was going to become the next King and a legendary war hero. What he decided to do each day was accept the training that would eventually take him down the path of greatness and land him in the position he found himself later as one of the most recognized people in all of history. It’s the little things that instill greatness. The little things that you do as a parent create in your children the skills, mindset, and ability to become champions. With out the endless days of watching sheep and protecting them from the dangers of life, David would never have had the courage to face Goliath. It was the training he received while he was a servant that taught him how to lead. So don’t discount the little lessons that you teach your children, for they will be the lessons that make them or break them later in life.
