Salem First Church was born in 1912.  We started with a handful of people and a dream: a dream of being used by God to change the destiny of thousands in our valley and beyond for the sake of Christ.  Board minutes in the early years revealed the heart of these people.  Their desire was to see the Kingdom of God advanced, no matter the cost. In the face of every challenge they were determined to stay with the founding focus: to reach, with the Gospel, those far away from Christ.  It is time for us, in 2007, to re-affirm that founding focus.  We don’t exist for ourselves but for those without Jesus.  He calls us to be a place of restoration.
